I was able to find two articles that I find to be one
liberal and the other conservative. This first article I found was based off
the Wall Street Journal “Jeb Bush’s “Impossible” Candidacy” with a more
conservative outlook. To sum up the article it talks about how people believe
Donald Trump has kept Jeb from being more assertive and aggressive in this
campaign. However, this article states that he really just is not good at this
what so ever. Trump is not the problem, but solely the revealer of the problem.
He doesn’t have what it takes to be in this at all and clearly has a different persona
from his older brother in terms of personality. Right now the country is more
in crisis and needs someone to aggressively step up and not just show people
their “Heart.” People want to see guts, toughness, and smartness and not heart
and joy. As I noticed in the first 30 minutes of Republican debate that was
shown recently Jeb didn’t speak in that 30 minute span or even put in any
effort at all. People are seeing the same Jeb week in and week out and have
been waiting for that aggression, but it seems as if its too late for that.

The next article I found was on CNN “Trump Attacks force Jeb
Bush out of his Malaise” which has more of a liberal outlook. In summing up
this article it is about how his allies have been waiting for Jeb to get
aggressive and he finally did. After remarks made from Trump about his family
Jeb finally took action and fought back. He blasts trump on the U.S. complex
national-security challenges and lack of knowledge in the political sphere of
the world. “He’s dead politically and will never be president of the United
States and I don’t think you can be a front runner if you’re totally
unelectable.
In looking at these two articles you can definitely see the
polarization and what is held to be true. The difference in the more
conservative article Jeb has clearly been the least aggressive of them all and
wants to show the world his heart. In the liberal article he fights back for a
week and gets praised for it. However, like I stated about the Republican
Debate you hear Trump the whole time and Jeb is just crickets. I think Jeb is
still portrayed as being low energy to the majority of the people and it’s too
late for him to step up I think. I think if one person were to see the article
where Jeb steps up against Trump that would really change their views and
liking of him. The most important thing in the campaign that the viewers want
is that aggressive attitude in being a dominant leader of this country. If people
were to see the conservative article I don’t think many attitudes toward Jeb
would change. This is the polarization of politics.
